Media files should be placed in a separate location to keep the data directory as clean as possible. It is important to note that your media files are not placed in the Plex data directory. The files stored in this directory are used to run and manage your Plex server, such as the cache, metadata storage and the Plex database. Access Plex and you should see the newly-added plug-in on the Channels page.The Plex data directory location is used to store files that are used by the Plex Media Server. # chmod -R root:root "/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/plex_conf/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins/HDHRViewerV2.bundle"ħ.
